EXTRACT FROM DOUG COPP'S ARTICLE ON THE: 'TRIANGLE OF LIFE'
My name is Doug Copp. I am the Rescue Chief and Disaster Manager of the
American Rescue Team International (ARTI), the world's most experienced
rescue team. The information in this article will save lives in an
earthquake.
I have crawled inside 875 collapsed buildings, worked with rescue teams
from 60 countries, founded rescue teams in several countries, and I am a member
of many rescue teams from many countries.
I was the United Nations expert in Disaster Mitigation for two years. I
have worked at every major disaster in the world since 1985, except for
simultaneous disasters.
The first building I ever crawled inside of was a school in Mexico City
during the 1985 earthquake. Every child was under its desk. Every child was
crushed to the thickness of their bones. They could have survived by lying
down next to their desks in the aisles. It was obscene, unnecessary and I
wondered why the children were not in the aisles. I didn't at the time know
that the children were told to hide under something. I am amazed that even
today schools are still using the ?Duck and Cover? instructions- telling
the children to squat under their desks with their heads bowed and covered with
their hands. This was the technique used in the Mexico City school.
Simply stated, when buildings collapse, the weight of the ceilings falling
upon the objects or furniture inside crushes these objects, leaving a space
or void next to them. This space is what I call the 'triangle of life'. The
larger the object, the stronger, the less it will compact. The less the
object compacts, the larger the void, the greater the probability that the
person who is using this void for safety will not be injured. The next time
you watch collapsed buildings, on television, count the 'triangles' you see
formed. They are everywhere. It is the most common shape, you will see, in
a collapsed building.
TIPS FOR EARTHQUAKE SAFETY
1) Almost everyone who simply 'ducks and covers' when buildings collapse
ARE CRUSHED TO DEATH. People who get under objects, like desks or cars, are
crushed.
2) Cats, dogs and babies often naturally curl up in the fetal position. You
should too in an earthquake. It is a natural safety/survival instinct. That
position helps you survive in a smaller void. Get next to an object, next
to a sofa, next to a large bulky object that will compress slightly but leave
a void next to it.
3) Wooden buildings are the safest type of construction to be in during an
earthquake. Wood is flexible and moves with the force of the earthquake. If
the wooden building does collapse, large survival voids are created. Also,
the wooden building has less concentrated, crushing weight. Brick buildings
will break into individual bricks. Bricks will cause many injuries but less
squashed bodies than concrete slabs. Concrete slab buildings are the most
dangerous during an earthquake.
4) If you are in bed during the night and an earthquake occurs, simply roll
off the bed. A safe void will exist around the bed. Hotels can achieve a
much greater survival rate in earthquakes, simply by posting a sign on the
back of the door of every room telling occupants to lie down on the floor,
next to the bottom of the bed during an earthquake.
5) If an earthquake happens and you cannot easily escape by getting out the
door or window, then lie down and curl up in the fetal position next to a
sofa, or large chair.
6) Almost everyone who gets under a doorway when buildings collapse is
killed. How? If you stand under a doorway and the doorjamb falls forward or
backward you will be crushed by the ceiling above. If the door jam falls
sideways you will be cut in half by the doorway. In either case, you will
be killed!
7) Never go to the stairs. The stairs have a different 'moment of frequency
(they swing separately from the main part of the building). The stairs and
remainder of the building continuously bump into each other until
structural failure of the stairs takes place. The people who get on stairs before they
fail are chopped up by the stair treads ? horribly mutilated. Even if the
building doesn't collapse, stay away from the stairs. The stairs are a
likely part of the building to be damaged. Even if the stairs are not
collapsed by the earthquake, they may collapse later when overloaded by
fleeing people. They should always be checked for safety, even when the
rest of the building is not damaged.
Get Near the Outer Walls Of Buildings Or Outside Of Them If Possible -
It is much better to be near the outside of the building rather than the
interior. The farther inside you are from the outside perimeter of the
building the greater the probability that your escape route will be
blocked.
9) People inside of their vehicles are crushed when the road above falls in
an earthquake and crushes their vehicles; which is exactly what happened
with the slabs between the decks of the Nimitz Freeway. The victims of the
San Francisco earthquake all stayed inside of their vehicles. They were all
killed. They could have easily survived by getting out and lying in the
fetal position next to their vehicles. Everyone killed would have survived
if they had been able to get out of their cars and sit or lie next to them.
All the crushed cars had voids 3 feet high next to them, except for the
cars that had columns fall directly across them.
10) I discovered, while crawling inside of collapsed newspaper offices and
other offices with a lot of paper, that paper does not compact. Large voids
are found surrounding stacks of paper.
In 1996 we made a film, which proved my survival methodology to be correct.
The Turkish Federal Government, City of Istanbul , University of Istanbul
Case Productions and ARTI cooperated to film this practical, scientific
test. We collapsed a school and a home with 20 mannequins inside. Ten
mannequins did 'duck and cover,' and ten mannequins I used in my 'triangle
of life' survival method. After the simulated earthquake collapse we
crawled through the rubble and entered the building to film and document the
results.
The film, in which I practiced my survival techniques under directly
observable, scientific conditions, relevant to building collapse, showed
there would have been zero percent survival for those doing duck and cover.
There would likely have been 100 percent survivability for people using my
method of the 'triangle of life.' This film has been seen by millions of
viewers on television in Turkey and the rest of Europe , and it was seen in
the USA , Canada and Latin America on the TV program Real TV.

Report from the Pipe ceremony in Cottonwood, AZ.
I recently returned from a trip to Cottonwood, AZ where we had a dual Pipe ceremony in the city park. The reason for the ceremony was to bring healing and balance to relationships. George was there with his sobriety Pipe and I used the Black Thunder Pipe. When I arrived and got out of the car, there was loud rock music blaring from a large group of folks having a family reunion. I said to myself this is not the place but noticed a woman taking pictures in the sky. I looked up and saw a beautiful Bald Eagle circling over head. Above it was about 20 ravens also circling in a tall spiral up into the sky. I guess I guessed wrong!
I went over to an area where there were several large boulders embedded into the ground making a kind of sculpture. It felt right so we set up.
We had lost our e-mail list that we use to invite folks to ceremony down there so we didn't expect to many people. As it turned out there were over 40 who showed up.
The woman taking photos of the eagle was Chippewa from Canada and that morning had prayed and asked the Mystery for a ceremony to attend and connect with. When George saw her he asked her if she was there for the ceremony and she became very excited. She went home and changed onto a traditional skirt and brought her drum.
After the Pipe was passed she told us about the answer to her prayer and sang an Eagle honoring song. She was joined by a chorus of singing dogs who were waiting for their humans in a van parked close by. It was interesting to note that the dogs did not sing when George sang a song for us just prior to the Eagle song.
Many there received healing of relationships with those who had crossed over, settling many unsaid I love you's. Others received blessings in the form of new relationships with those they connected with at the ceremony.
We all went out to dinner afterwords and it was wonderful to witness the creation of many sacred circles right there in the dinning room. Now the Deer are at it too!
In the post right before this I mentioned that the owls and eagles were mating a month early here. Well we have more confirmation from nature that this year is going to be different. The Whitetail deer are all shedding their antlers over a month earlier than usual. Top it off that the Chinook wind, usually here in late Feb. has been blowing warm melting winds for several days now. So whats my point? I will be basing my decisions and taking action in preparing for an early spring on what nature is saying rather than what people are saying. What is nature saying where you live?

Many of you will remember that right before the big tsunami hit
At the 11/14 Pipe ceremony in Arizona last year were told that humans needed to watch nature and be very flexible/adaptable in order to go through many upcoming event that are going to happen this year. What are the critters up to around your place?
Here in N.W. Montana the owls and eagles are mating almost a month early. I am adjusting my schedule for an early spring with a longer growing season. I feel it is to help provide for some shortages in food. To bad I can’t grow oranges here, looks like 3/4 of our nations orange crop is gone to juice due to the
The point is, get in touch/ live with nature. Learn to see unusual behavior and interpret what it may mean. Then by all means act in trust, change your routine based on what the Creator shows you through its creation.
You can trust nature, not technology. Over the last few weeks I have seen a couple of GPS’s give wrong information.
Read the other posts below and I think you will se a trend. If you don’t act you will have to react, and that might not work out so well.
Lets all follow the Great Mystery’s lead and walk in safety and abundance, rather than depend on the non dependable.
The last think I have to share comes from the last sweat we had here, 2012 is now. More about that soon, but the shift is already happening, and it is very good!

Report on the United Nations Pipe ceremony in Vienna
As many of you may know, the United Nations Turtle Pipe was invited to come to Austria for ceremony at the request of a group within the United Nations located here in Vienna. There are five main locations of the UN around the world, New York, Vienna, Geneva, Nairobi, and Paris.
The initial contact here in Austria was through Tim Ott of the “Keepers”and he will continue to liaison with them in the future. Yesterday we had the honor of holding the ceremony on the grounds of the United Nations building here in Vienna.
Before the ceremony I spoke for over an hour to those gathered there from many different nations of the world. I shared information about where we are in regards to currant world events in light of native prophecies and what needs to be done for the future of our planet and the next 7 generations of our children.
I was amazed at how open and receptive every one attending was. I had anticipated skeptical and guarded attitudes but found instead such an openness I was amazed. They said it was the largest group that had ever gathered on the grounds to listen to an “unofficial” outside voice on world events.
During the ceremony we called on all in attendance to join in a unified request for true world harmony and “tohidu” (prosperous peace.) Without exception all earnestly joined in.
We went away feeling filled with hope that we are truly in a special time where the promised age of world peace, from all sources of prophecy, will actually be realized.
I wanted to also mention that when we walked into the “Plaza of Flags” it felt as if we had entered onto holy ground. I have felt the same sensation at places like Bear Butte in South Dakota and Mt. Warning in Australia. It seemed strange to feel that in such a place but it was real and powerful. My conclusion is that the Great Mystery has sanctified that place for sacred work.
We were invited back and I am looking forward to returning in the future.

UN Turtle Pipe to go to Austria in December
Hi Everyone,
Tim and Hermi invited me to come over to Austria and even covered the travel costs. I am heading over there later this week and really looking forward to seeing them as we missed them at the gathering this year in Pipestone.
As the Great Mystery would have it, what started as a personal visit has turned into an opportunity to conduct ceremony with the UN Turtle Pipe at the UN delegates building over there. I am excited as this is quite the reversal of the reception given in New York over the years to attempts of Tribal Elders to come to the UN and speak on behalf of our Mother Earth and the children of the next 7 generations.
I will have the opportunity to explain to the gathering there about issues and concerns that have been rejected over here.
I invite you all to join in the blessings of participating in this move of spirit by praying for the gathering, the Pipe, Tim and family and myself. I pray that I would be a good hollow bone and be useful to the Mystery to speak just the right words that will fall on open ears and hearts of those gathered.
It is such an honor to work side by side with you all, I will try to find a way to post about the events as they develop during the trip.

The responsibility of dreaming.

Many of you may have noticed you are dreaming a lot more recently. I want to explain a few things about dreaming that I have learned over the years as well as explain why so many of us are having more and stranger dreams than usual.
First, I want to point out that in all the major prophecies about these times we are already well into, there is a universal prediction of an increase in both dreaming and visions. So, what are dreams?
I know there are many learned studies on dreaming and what I have to say about it will not match up with the conclusions of the experts, but what I share here is based on my personal experiences with dreams and visions. I want to point out that the only credentials I have to be teaching about this is that the dreams and visions I have had have almost always come into practical reality in some form or another. Simply put, if my experience with dreams has a practical application to this physical life we all share, than perhaps the fruit of the tree gives credence to the teaching of the tree. (Love the metaphor!)
As an example I had a dream of being in a powerful earthquake the morning that the first recent quake hit the
I did send out the request and our few hundred prayers joined with the thousands already asking for assistance from the Great Mystery and answers began to appear in the headlines.
I also received the message that these catastrophes would continue one right after another in order to get the attention of the world so we all would pay attention to the message.
What message? The one we have been hearing for many years now, that we are doing er-repairable damage to our planet and to our relatives, of all kinds, that depend on mother earth to live and be well.
The thing is that due to my dream I am convinced that it is important for me to share what I am being told. Because of the dream I feel a connection to those people and areas being hit so hard and repeatedly.
But now back to dreams, what are they? I have found that dreams can be divided into 3 categories. The first I call recreational dreams. This is where your mind is just being reactive while on auto pilot while sleeping. These dreams are influenced by what we have experienced that day, watched on TV, what kind of pizza we had for dinner, etc. They can be kind of crazy, sometimes scary or just fun. It is your mind playing with the experiences of your life. I do not pay much attention to these kinds of dreams.
The second type of dream is what I call solution solving dream. These are those dreams where we work out things that are bothering us, many times they are constantly repeated scenarios with a slightly different twist, but the theme is always the same.
I used to have a recurring dream that my family was being attacked by a man and when I tried to defend them my kicks and punches (I studied Tye Kwon Do) were impotent. They lacked any real power; it was as if my arm would go limp when I hit the attacker. This really bothered me and I finally realized that I had doubts of my own ability to defend my family based on guilt because I had not fought in the

As I became proud of my skills in the fake combat, my dreams changed. When I dreamed of someone attacking my family, I would literally beat the bejesus out of them. So, if you have recurring dreams pay attention to them, sit and ask yourself why they are there. You may be able to conquer a lifelong struggle with something that is at your very core.
The 3rd kind of dream is what I call a Devine message dream. These are the ones that give us instructions, warnings, information that is intended to lead us into being effective tools of the Devine.
The dream about the earthquake was one of these. I have had dreams about people I was about to meet on several occasions. These were given to me to make sure I paid attention when these people came into my life and did not let them pass by without finding what the Mystery wanted of our connection. Every time the connection has been strong and beneficial to people and creation. Once it was to team up with another healer and provide almost miraculous healing and comfort to cancer patience, once it was to do several ceremonies where pollution and oil spills threatened to destroy our waters and land. Recently I dreamed of a woman that has proved instrumental in making my teachings available in audio form so the messages can reach further than my limited physical presents could do. I trust that our connection has brought equal blessing into her and her family’s life as well.
